State Center Community College District seeks a DSP&S Instructor to contribute to developmental services curriculum at Madera Community College. Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in disability, special education, psychology, educational psychology, or rehabilitation counseling.
• Fifteen (15) semester units of upper division or graduate study in disability-related area.
• Valid California Community College Credential OR equivalent education/experience.
• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Developmental Services curriculum aligned with course outline of record.
• Engage with and provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities.
• Monitor and track students’ academic performance according to campus guidelines.
• Participate in assessment of student learning objectives to improve outcomes.
• Maintain confidential records and complete mandated reports.
• Advocate for students with disabilities and collaborate with counselors and staff.
• Participate in professional development and program review activities.
• Assignments may include Monday through Friday; some evenings and Saturdays may be required.
