Job summary

Alpha Health Services in Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time DSP to work one-on-one with a participant in-home and in the community, following the ISP, providing transportation, and supporting independence with compassion.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, documentation, HIPAA compliance, and coordination with a care team; about 20 hours weekly, with competitive pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a DSP or in a direct care/caregiving role (required).
• Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport participant to activities, appointments, and outings per ISP goals.
• Provide personal care support with dignity and respect.
• Support community participation and social inclusion.
• Monitor health, behavior, and changes; report to supervisor.
• Document participant progress and status accurately.
• Follow individualized care plans tailored to participant needs.
• Assist with meal preparation, accommodating dietary needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team and family members.
• Complete PA ODP training and maintain certifications.
