Job summary

Alpha Supported Living Services in Spokane, WA seeks a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, hands-on support to adults with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and community activities, under supervision, ensuring a safe and respectful living environment.

The role emphasizes documentation, coordination with the care team, and upholding our mission to maximize each client's quality of life.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide personal care and assist with health needs.
• Knowledge of basic medical administration practices.
• Ability to operate agency vehicle or assist with transportation.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and provide informal counseling; support client in problem solving challenges.
• Support day-to-day needs including personal hygiene, food preparation, housekeeping, shopping, monitor health needs, and supervision of medication.
• Assist participants with accessing community outings and transportation as needed.
• Complete required written and digital documentation of each shift: medication records, behavior tracking, incident reports, and financial records.
• Assist with medical needs: vital signs, transferring, turning, positioning, and tube feeding.
• Operate equipment including Hoyer lift, shower chairs, suction machines, medicine crusher.
• Provide positive behavior support to clients.
