Job summary

LIFE Senior Services Inc is seeking a part-time driver to provide transportation for clients from their homes to the center and to appointments. The role includes cleaning vehicles, performing safety checks, and coordinating with the transportation dispatcher to schedule rides.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, CPR and basic first aid certification, and comfort working with frail or elderly individuals.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of the frail elderly population.
• Ability to function independently with flexibility and integrity.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive LIFE program vehicles safely and follow policies and procedures.
• Load and unload clients and assist them to and from homes per program standards.
• Transport clients to scheduled appointments arranged by the dispatcher.
• Ensure wheelchair securement when required and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Coordinate scheduling of rides and vehicle maintenance with the dispatcher.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
