Job summary

The Driver’s License Examiners (DLEs) support Oklahoma’s DMV operations by conducting interviews, tests, and inspections to determine eligibility for licenses or state IDs, in compliance with state and federal rules. This part-time, temporary role covers interviews, document verification, vehicle inspections, and issuing or denying licenses.

Saturday work may be required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with strong customer service and accurate typing skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• OR four (4) years of technical clerical office work.
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine license or ID type and verify documents.
• Administer vision, written, pre-trip and skills tests as appropriate.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Establish driver’s license records and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond to inquiries from motor license agents and the public on laws and procedures.
