Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks a Licensing Examiner (part-time) in OKC to conduct driver’s license interviews, examinations (visual, written, and road), and inspections to determine eligibility and qualification for licenses, in line with state and federal regulations.

The role administers tests, maintains confidential records, issues or denies licenses, and supports the Legal Division as needed. The position is storefront-based, may require weekends, up to 24 hours per week, and pays $19.06 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field or four years of technical clerical office work or equivalent.
• Preference for candidates with customer service experience.
• Familiarity with DMV processes and typing at least 50 wpm with minimal errors.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to determine license type and eligibility.
• Reviews documents and verifies identity per state/federal laws.
• Administers vision, written, and road tests as appropriate.
• Establishes and maintains driver’s license records with confidentiality.
• Assists Legal Division with gathering evidence for potential actions.
• Responds to inquiries from motor license agents and the public.
