The State of Oklahoma is seeking a Licensing Examiner (part-time) in Oklahoma City. This role involves conducting driver’s license interviews, examinations, and inspections to determine eligibility for driver’s licenses or state IDs.

The position is temporary with a maximum of 24 hours per week. Responsibilities include administering vision, written, pre-trip and road tests, evaluating eligibility, and maintaining confidential records in compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field or four (4) years of technical clerical office work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference may be given to candidates with customer service experience.
• Typing at least 50 wpm with minimal errors.

Responsabilités

• Interview applicants to determine license or identification requirements and review documents for eligibility.
• Explain why an application cannot be accepted and guide handling of disqualifying issues.
• Evaluate medical, physical or mental information and advise on waivers or restrictions.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and administer tests (vision, written, road).
• Maintain driver’s license records with confidentiality and security.
• Assist Legal Division with evidence for potential legal action on fraudulent applications.
• Respond to inquiries from motor license agents and the public regarding laws and procedures.
• Attend to other interviews/hearings related to suspensions, revocations, and requirements.
