Job summary

The Driver’s License Examiner (DLE) is a critical front-line position for the State of Oklahoma. This part-time, temporary role conducts interviews, tests, and inspections to determine eligibility for driver’s licenses or state IDs across designated districts, while upholding state and federal regulations.

The position is storefront-based, may require weekend work, and carries an hourly rate of $19.06 with a maximum of 24 hours per week. Flexible schedules and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Strong interviewing and documentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine license type and verify documents.
• Administer tests and evaluate applicant performance.
• Establish driver records and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist Legal Division with evidence for potential cases.
• Respond to inquiries from agencies and the public.
