Job summary

State of Oklahoma, 640 SERVICE OKLAHOMA, seeks a part-time Driver’s License Examiner to conduct interviews, license exams, and vehicle inspections in a storefront setting. Position supports homeland security by ensuring proper licensing and ID issuance in line with state and federal regulations.

The role is temporary, up to 24 hours per week, with potential Saturdays based on agency needs. Compensation is $19.06 per hour, and work location may be in Durant as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field or four (4) years of technical clerical office work or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to determine the license or ID needed and verifies documents for eligibility.
• Administers vision, written, pre-trip and skills tests as appropriate.
• Conducts in-depth vehicle safety inspections and evaluates applicant performance.
• Establishes and maintains driver’s license records with confidentiality.
• Responds to inquiries from motor license agents and the public regarding laws and procedures.
