Job summary

Southern Crescent Technical College is seeking a part-time Driver's Education Instructor for the Flint River and Griffin campuses. You will assess student driving skills, develop curriculum, and ensure safe, effective instruction aligned with Joshua’s Law and DDS requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating teaching materials, managing student progress, and collaborating with staff to optimize learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• DDS Certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment, plus fingerprint-based checks.
• GA driver’s license with satisfactory MVR history.
• GA Class C Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ driving skills and knowledge under supervision to provide feedback.
• Collaborate with parties to improve student outcomes and plan curriculum.
• Coordinate drivers education program components, materials, and space.
• Instruct students on car control, defensive driving, emergencies, and traffic laws per Joshua’s Law.
• Manage student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Participate in trainings and meetings to perform duties.
• Prepare teaching materials and records (grades, attendance, reports) to document progress.
• Report incidents to schedule drivers training.
