Qualifications

• Must obtain a Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) Certification within 30 days of employment.
• A valid Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR history.
• Must have a Georgia Class C Drivers’ License.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, assess students’ driving skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Coordinate drivers education program components, materials and spaces to meet grant guidelines.
• Instruct students in car control, defensive driving, and Joshua’s Law requirements.
• Manage student behavior to provide a safe learning environment.
• Prepare teaching materials and records for progress and reporting.
• Report incidents to schedule training as needed.
