Job summary

Cox Automotive Canada in Orlando, FL is seeking a vehicle mover to safely move, stage, and park cars on Auction property. You will drive vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and guide them through sale lanes on designated sale days in compliance with safety rules.

Schedule is Mon and Tue 7am–6pm, Wed 6am–5pm, with overtime possible. Pay rate is $17.52 per hour; benefits include health care options and paid time off where offered.

Qualifications

• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Regularly required to enter and exit vehicles.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods; walk long distances; and stand for extended periods.
• Physical ability to lift 1–15 pounds and climb as needed.
• Vision abilities include depth perception and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to/from designated areas on Auction premises and to/from customer dealerships and businesses, observing rules of the road.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed; move vehicles as needed; locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating; inflate tires and jump-start vehicles if necessary; notify supervisor if inoperative.
• Assist customers and coworkers; observe safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management; overtime may be required.

Job description

This position is responsible for the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on Auction property, driving vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and driving vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days and in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Mon. and Tues. 7am - 6pm, Wed. 6am - 5pm

The schedule is subject to change as business requires.

Pay rate: $17.52 per hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules, and rules of the road and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary. Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

USD 17.52 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $17.52. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
