Job summary

Cox Automotive in Hamilton, OH is hiring a vehicle mover to safely move, stage and park cars on Auction property, drive vehicles to and from lots and customers, and guide vehicles through sale lanes on designated days.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to sit, stand, walk long distances, lift up to 15 pounds, and a strong safety mindset. Work is three days per week with daytime hours; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to enter/exit vehicles frequently and operate with care.
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking and lifting up to 15 lbs.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days in a safe manner.
• Move vehicles to and from designated areas on the premises and to customer locations.
• Line up and park vehicles as directed; locate any missing vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating and notify supervisors for issues.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed while maintaining safety.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned and may work overtime as needed.

Work schedule-

The shift will be 3 days a week: Tuesday- 830am-5pm, Wednesday-830am-6pm, Thursday- 7am-5pm

Pay Rate: $14.42

$500.00 Sign on bonus after 30 days

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the safe moving, staging and parking of vehicles on Auction property, driving vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and driving vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days and in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules, rules of the road and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. If necessary, inflate tires and jump start vehicles using a battery box and air tank. Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify Service or Gas Truck Driver when vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications :

• Safe drivers needed; a valid driver's license required
• Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing are frequently required.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level

USD 14.42 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is $14.42. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
