Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Driver I to join a tight-knit team. No prior experience is required; you will spend your day behind the wheel driving vehicles through auction lanes, staging inventory, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Hours are Wed 7am-5pm, Thurs 7am-7pm, Fri 7am-5pm, with pay at $17.33 per hour. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and active involvement in the automotive auction environment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous auction experience
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk long distances
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

This role may involve frequent exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.

USD 17.33 per hour

Hourly pay rate is $17.33. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
