Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Driver I to move vehicles within auction grounds and to customer locations. No prior experience or education is required, and the role offers a structured schedule with daytime hours.

You will safely drive vehicles through lanes, stage and park inventory, and assist teams in locating mislaid units while maintaining a strong safety culture. This position provides active daily work around cars and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all procedures.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and customer locations.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisors.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers and coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a culture of safety.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm (as late as 9pm on Wednesday)

Pay Rate: $17.33

What You'll Do

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all auction driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, as well as customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

• May be required to work overtime based on business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous auction experience
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk long distances
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

This role may involve frequent exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.

USD 17.33 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $17.33. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
