Job summary

Delaney at Parkway Lakes in Richmond, Texas, is seeking a part-time Driver/Activities Assistant to transport residents to stores and outings, assist with life enrichment activities, and perform light housekeeping as needed.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and good English communication skills; previous senior-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred.
• The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language.
• Assisted Living Activities: 1 year (Required).
• Driver's License (Required) with good driving record.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Drive van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
