Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a part-time Driver to safely transport residents to activities and medical appointments. You will assist residents on/off the vehicle, load items, and help coordinate equipment while maintaining schedules for timely pickups.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least six months’ bus/van driving experience; a CDL with Passenger Endorsement is preferred. Enjoy a supportive, member‑centric workplace.

• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Support revenue and occupancy goals through reliable transportation.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transportation of residents to various individual and group activities/functions and medical appointments.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:

• Drive vans, buses, or automobiles on regular schedules to meet residents’ needs.
• Assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six (6) months’ experience as a bus/van driver required.
• CDL Driver with Passenger Endorsement preferred

Salary: From $14.00 per hour

$18.00 per hour with CDL License
