Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Portland Region is seeking a part-time Store Associate to support day-to-day retail operations at our Portland area stores. You will greet customers, process donations, price items, and help volunteers while delivering friendly, efficient service.

This role requires a minimum of one year in customer service, a willingness to lift items over 50 pounds, and the ability to work with team members and leadership.

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work with staff and volunteers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Willingness to learn to use store equipment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety requirements.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, cashiering, and greeting of customers.
• Greet donors, inspect donations, and accept items that meet criteria.
• Guide volunteers to support tasks.
• Process and price donations.
• Stock merchandise on the sales floor.
• Clean and organize store areas and back rooms.
• Assist donation pickup drivers with residential and business pickups.
• Engage customers and community in Habitat's mission and events.
• Support other ReStore locations as needed.
