Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum age 16 for Level1; minimum age 18 for Levels2 and3.
• Scheduling flexibility; evenings and weekend availability preferred.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Adherence to consistent attendance and weekly working hour expectations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide a positive donation experience during busy times.
• Follow donation guidelines, review goods for quality/issues, and explain declines consistently.
• Answer basic donation questions courteously while maintaining flow.
• Perform partner donation tracking on an electronic tablet.
• Sort incoming donations quickly and accurately by department.
• Identify trash or unsellable items before shipping to production or back-stock.
• Prevent bottlenecks at the donation door; keep carts, bins, and large items organized.
• Maintain a clean environment by managing trash and breaking down cardboard.
• Track product from donation door to production or back-stock using an electronic tablet.
• Assist with production needs such as disinfection, pricing of furniture, and clothing dumping.
• Learn and support other production areas for sorting.
• Emphasize safety and organization; use proper safety equipment.
• Operate manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Understand basic safety requirements for heavy machinery; training required.
• Learn and follow disinfection and PPE requirements.
• Participate in daily huddles and shift handoffs.
• Maintain knowledge of community marketing needs and current store requirements.
• Communicate donation volume and issues to the Donations Supervisor.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and store goals.
