Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a part-time Donation Attendant for our Oakland Warehouse. You will help receive, sort, and stage donated items, ensure the donation area is clean, and assist donors and TSA drivers as needed.

This role supports the Do The Most Good mission and community impact. Ideal candidates have basic reading and writing ability, can follow instructions, and communicate effectively with staff and donors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry required.
• Ability to read and write and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation area around the trailer/pod at start and end of shift.
• Assist donors with receiving donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as directed.
• Assist TSA drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Inform supervisor of supplies needed (brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
