Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a donation trailer attendant to maintain and secure the donation area and assist donors with receipts. You will help unload and sort donations, keep paperwork updated, and ensure the trailer/pod is locked at the end of each shift.

The role requires neat appearance, reliable scheduling flexibility, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed. Join a team that supports community services and operates donation operations with care and courtesy,

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read, write, and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
