Job summary

Niles Community Schools in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Driver to support the Maintenance and Operations team. You will pick up and deliver mail, interoffice correspondence, packages, and supplies between schools and district facilities, with a regular schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and a provided district vehicle for travel during work hours.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record, plus

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, and move mail, boxes, and supplies.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver mail, interoffice correspondence, packages, and other materials between schools and district facilities.
Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Ensure documents, packages, and sensitive materials are delivered accurately and securely.
Maintain a consistent and dependable delivery schedule.
Operate a district vehicle safely and responsibly while following all applicable traffic laws and district policies.
Load, unload, and transport materials as needed.
Communicate professionally with school staff, administrators, and other district personnel.
Assist with other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
