Job description

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team‑first Dishwasher to join the culinary team at the Marriott Colorado Springs.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and return dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to the line in a timely and organized manner throughout the shift.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Maintain the dish station in a clean, organized, and fully functional condition at all times.
• Monitor and maintain proper dish machine temperatures, chemical levels, and wash cycles, notifying a supervisor immediately if something is off.
• Sort and stack clean dishware, glassware, and utensils correctly and efficiently.
• Remove trash, break down boxes, and keep the kitchen clean and free of hazards throughout the shift.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment as directed by kitchen leadership.
• Assist with deliveries, supply storage, and general kitchen organization as needed.
• Support the culinary and stewarding team with tasks that contribute to a smooth and efficient operation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures in accordance with health codes and property standards.
• Communicate with kitchen team members in a positive, professional, and collaborative manner throughout the shift.
• Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to your supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior kitchen, food service, or dishwashing experience is a plus but not required; we will train you.
• Ability to accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Able to stand and remain active and on your feet for the full duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Comfortable with bending, reaching, pushing, and moving quickly throughout the kitchen.
• Comfortable working in a warm, wet, and fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food handler certification is a plus or willingness to obtain upon hire.
