Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a part-time Dishroom Clerk in Brookings, SD, to keep kitchen equipment and dining areas clean and organized. You will support the Market Grille by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, handling food safely, and maintaining a hygienic work environment.

You’ll greet customers with a smile and assist teammates to ensure efficient service. No formal education is required; six months or less of similar experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
• Report to work when scheduled and on time
