Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Dishroom Attendant at Washington University in St. Louis. This part-time role supports kitchen and facility operations by keeping dishwashing areas clean and organized, handling utensils and equipment, and assisting with setup and breakdown tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include hand-washing or machine-dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking basics. The position requires physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specified cleaners to ensure sanitation.
• Restocks supplies such as soap and paper towels.
