Job summary

Universal MH/DD/SAS is seeking part-time Employment Specialists/Job Coaches to help people with disabilities obtain employment and provide on-the-job training in Burke and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities include identifying interests, preparing resumes, applying for jobs, and supporting individuals to obtain and retain employment. A flexible schedule and a valid driver’s license are required. Comprehensive benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Service or Business preferred.
• Job Coaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Flexible schedule - some evenings, nights, weekends may be required during job training.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Identify vocational interests and abilities with individuals.
• Create resumes, search and apply for jobs, learn job tasks.
• Coach individuals to retain employment and reach goals.
• Develop and implement employment and training plans.
• Assist in overcoming barriers and advocate for accommodations.
• Network with local businesses and document progress.
