Job summary

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. seeks part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach for the Single Step and/or ACCESS program, part of the Center for Alternative and Supported Education (CASE) in Baltimore.

Classes may be on campus or at partner sites in the greater Baltimore area, with some travel required. Instructors provide instruction in academic preparation, life skills, and workforce readiness, with flexible schedules and meetings/workshops as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time, or four years part-time, academic and/or other experience working with people with developmental or other disabilities required.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule.
• Ability to teach a computer-assisted curriculum, preferred.
• Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• preparing and teaching lessons for students with disabilities functioning at different levels in the classroom
• classroom management of student behaviors
• completing syllabus, attendance rosters, registration forms, student evaluations, and any other required paperwork
• coordinating and collaborating with the staff of client agencies
