Job summary

Belding Area Schools in Michigan is seeking a Director of Adult Education to lead and oversee the district’s adult education program, reporting to the Superintendent. You will hire staff, implement curriculum, and ensure MAERS reporting compliance.

You will collaborate with the Finance team on program budgeting and grant applications, and participate in district meetings as required. The role is 20–30 hours weekly during the school year.

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan continuing education requirements for Adult Education programs.
• Experience working with adult learners.
• Fosters positive relationships with students, staff and the community.

Responsibilities

• Hire program staff and oversee the overall program including curriculum updates.
• Conduct student registration and orientation.
• Responsible for MAERS reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance for mandated state reporting and budgeting.
• Assist with grant applications for Adult Education.
• Attend administrative and Board of Education meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Superintendent.
