Job summary

Athelas Institute, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist waiver participants in daily living, personal care, and community activities.

You will document progress and maintain records using the agency’s electronic systems, while adhering to the Person-Centered and Behavior Support Plans. The role requires availability Mon-Fri 5pm-8pm and Sat 10am-2pm, with driving and community engagement responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred DDA core competencies, Mandt Systems Training, CPR/First Aid, MTTP.
• Experience with IDD/DD preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to waiver participants to maximize independence.
• Follow Person-Centered Plan and Behavior Support Plan (if applicable).
• Document services and use agency electronic systems for communication and record-keeping.
• Encourage decision making, self-help activities, and daily planning.
• Drive and engage with community events and activities.
