Job summary

Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time swing shift in Gresham, OR. The role supports individuals with daily living activities, promotes independence, and documents progress.

The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, totaling 24 hours per week. The ideal candidate is patient, caring, dependable, and passionate about helping others. Prior experience with disabilities is valued, but training is provided to develop the necessary skills

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
No experience required—training provided.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal prep, and routines.
Encourage choice, self-advocacy, and independence.
Support development of life skills for greater independence.
Build respectful, person-centered relationships based on dignity and trust.
Create safe, inclusive environments at home and in the community.
Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
Document progress and services provided accurately and timely.
Communicate with families and team members to ensure coordinated support.
Respect each person’s goals, preferences, and right to make choices.
