Alternatives, Inc. in Brick, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. As a DSP, you will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and help residents participate in community outings while following individual behavioral plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living activities in a residential group home.
• Administer medication and assist with meals and personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and teach new skills.
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities.
• Report health and safety concerns and maintain accurate documentation.
