Job summary

Lehigh Valley Companion Care Homes in Whitehall, PA is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to adults with IDD. This part-time role covers Friday and Saturday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, focusing on personal care, daily living assistance, and community inclusion.

You will document services, follow Individual Support Plans, and participate in ongoing trainings while working with a supportive team to ensure safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; direct care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 20–50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Administer medications per physician orders and document administration.
• Provide emotional support and facilitate community inclusion activities.
• Document daily notes, progress, and behavioral observations; follow ISP and BSP.
