Job summary

Indera is seeking a 1:1 Direct Support Professional in Fayetteville, NY to support a 61-year-old male with daily living activities, exercise, and community outings. The role focuses on encouraging independence, safety, and engagement in meaningful activities within the community.

The position is part-time/per diem, with hours 4 hours per day on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Starting pay is $19.25/hour and will increase with relevant experience as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with healthy choices and exercise for the client.
• Identify and participate in new activities with the client.
• Assist with money management and completing transactions.
• Travel to different locations as needed for services.
• Redirect behaviors and support regulation as directed.
• Be active, go on long walks and gym sessions as requested.
