Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a young lady in the Syracuse area, helping her participate in community activities and maintain independence. The role emphasizes reliability, patience, and enthusiasm in daily support tasks.

The position is per diem/part-time with evening hours (around 2:30–3 PM start) from Monday to Friday, and a pay rate of $20 per hour. A valid driver's license, HS diploma/GED, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time.
• Prior experience a plus but not required.
• Background check and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with participating in activities outside of the home that are of interest to the individual.
• Support the individual to maintain independence in the community.
• Be reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic in all tasks.
• Work hours include Monday through Friday evenings; Friday night shifts to attend dances.
