Job summary

Indera is seeking a 1:1 Direct Support Professional in Fayetteville, NY to support a 61-year-old male with daily living activities, exercise, and community outings. The role focuses on encouraging independence, safety, and engagement in meaningful activities within the community.

The position is part-time/per diem, with hours 4 hours per day on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Starting pay is $19.25/hour and will increase with relevant experience as applicable.

Qualifications

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Fayetteville, NY (CA – CW)

A 61-year-old male in the Fayetteville area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with making healthy choices, exercising, identifying and participating in new activities, money management, and completing transactions. He loves to tell stories with different voices and lots of enthusiasm. He is an avid music listener and enjoys going to live see live music. He likes CDs, DVDs, singing, going to the gym to exercise, bowling, talking to people, drawing, and window shopping. The ideal candidate is reliable, consistent, communicative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to redirect behaviors and responses, and support regulation. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to go on long walks and work out in the gym.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 4 hours per day, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
