Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals at home and in the community. This part-time role includes day shifts, weekend openings, and local travel as needed to meet consumer goals and enhance independence.

You will document progress in electronic records, collaborate with families, and help clients engage in meaningful activities, fostering socialization and personal development daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!

Responsibilities

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship.
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the family of the consumer to work on goals that promote independence, socialization and overall personal development.
