Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Leland, NC seeks a Direct Support Professional to join our Individual and Community Services team. This part-time role supports individuals in their homes and local communities, helping build independence and meaningful daily experiences.

You’ll document progress, coordinate with families, and tailor activities to each person’s goals while ensuring safety and compassionate care. Weekday and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!

Responsibilities

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship.
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the family of the consumer to work on goals that promote independence, socialization and overall personal development
