Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Hillsborough, NJ is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional for a one-to-one role supporting an adult with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, pay: $18–$21 per hour.

The ideal DSP is reliable, patient, and able to document care and coordinate with the Kindly team. This is meaningful, community-based work with a consistent schedule.

Qualifications

• Able to consistently commit to the exact posted schedule.
• Dependable, respectful, patient, and comfortable working one-to-one.
• Experience Preferred.
• Reliable Vehicle Required.
• Able to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training.

Responsibilities

• Support an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities aligned with interests (shopping, library visits, dining out).
• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals.
• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual's needs.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.

What You'll Do

• Support an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community.

• Provide support to a 24-year-old high-functioning individual with autism who enjoys shopping, going out to eat, visiting the library, and other community activities. The ideal DSP should be reliable, calm, and easygoing, providing companionship and engaging in activities together.

• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals.

• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual's needs.

• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.

• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
