Job summary

Hope Hill Youth Services in Hope, KY is seeking a Part-Time Direct Care Services professional for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM). You will join a residential team dedicated to protecting and supporting youth ages 11–18, providing high-quality care and supervision in a facility focused on trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities include documenting youth behavior, administering medications as prescribed, leading activities, preparing meals, and assisting with intakes, while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced residential environment.
• Ability to remain calm when youth are in crisis.
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk long distances and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong records management and note-taking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth aged 11–18.
• Maintain accurate documentation of youth behavior and shift activities.
• Administer medications as prescribed and log accordingly.
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with intakes during your shift.
• Help de-escalate youth during mental health crises.
• Complete shift briefings and de-briefings with staff.
• Prepare and serve meals during the shift.
• Ensure daily chores and educational tasks are completed.
• Facilitate recreational activities with youth.
• Support treatment planning and youth goal achievement.
• Transport youth to medical and emergent care when needed.
• Complete 40 hours initial training and 24 hours yearly training.
• Other duties as assigned by Residential Program Director
