Job summary

Alto Overland Park in Overland Park, KS is seeking a warm, dependable Part-Time Dining Server to join our team. Shift options include Day 6:30am–2:00pm and Afternoon 3:00pm–7:00pm, with weekend availability and a schedule that ends by 7pm.

You will greet residents, serve meals with care, keep the dining room clean, and support service from start to finish. No certifications required—we train the right person.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Must pay attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, have safety awareness, and be a team player.
• Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
• Food serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals with warmth, care, and professionalism to residents who truly appreciate it.
• Greet and assist residents and guests throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment throughout every shift.
• Deliver and retrieve trays as needed and support meal service from start to finish.
• Be a dependable, friendly presence that makes every meal feel special.
• Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Serve food in an efficient and professional manner.
• Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal according to Company protocol.
• Maintain a clean dining room; sanitize after every meal period.
• Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents' apartments as needed.
• Label and date all food.
• Other duties as assigned.

With two shift options and a flexible schedule — including some weekends — this is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and wants meaningful part-time work done at a reasonable hour.

Shift Options:

Day Shift | 6:30am–2:00pm
Afternoon Shift | 3:00pm–7:00pm
Varies | Includes weekends

The primary responsibility of the Server is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.

Areas of Responsibility

• Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner as well as approach and interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner.
• Serve food in an efficient and professional manner.
• Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal according to Company protocol.
• Maintain a clean dining room. Chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas should be wiped down and sanitized after every meal period.
• Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents' apartments as needed.
• Label and date all food.
