Job summary

Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) seeks an enthusiastic and mission-aligned Server for the Food Services Department to join the Promise Academy Kitchen team in New York. You will interact with guests, uphold hospitality standards, and support dining services in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Responsibilities include plating, line setup and breakdown, stocking stations, maintaining sanitary conditions, and communicating menu details and allergens to students. Part-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in food service or customer service.
• Basic culinary knowledge of product identification, terminology, and production.
• Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and resolve guest concerns.

Responsibilities

• Plate meals according to proper portion sizes.
• Set up, break down, and reset serving lines; assist after meals.
• Stock side stations with proper supplies prior to meal service.
• Maintain sanitary conditions; practice Clean as you Go.
