Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in South Windsor, CT seeks a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents. You will work with a collaborative team, respond to feedback, and help foster a caring community environment.

No previous work experience is required; you must be at least 15 years old and able to communicate in English with residents and staff. Be prepared to obtain a food handler permit within two weeks of hire and comply with state work-permit rules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. If this applies to you based on your age and state of residence, the Community Manager at the location where you are applying will provide guidance on the necessary steps. Any required work permit must be submitted to the Community at the time of hire to ensure compliance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining, carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by greeting tables, guiding menu selections, taking orders, and serving courses.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, and refilling water carafes.
• Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other tasks.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager when needed.
• Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
