Job summary

Ecumen Pathstone in Minnesota’s Mankato area is hiring a Dining Assistant to assist with food preparation, service, and cleanup in a care setting. The role supports residents, families, and guests with courteous service, while following facility policies and safety rules.

Shifts run 6:30am–3:00pm on weekends and 4:00pm–7:30pm on weekdays and weekends, totaling about 20 hours bi-weekly. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with standard part-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary service to residents, families and guests, ensuring all feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.
• Serves meals to residents per diet order and portion size, and at the proper temperature; complies with regulations.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, safe and efficiently organized work area; rotates stock and labels items.
• Performs opening and closing duties and routine cleaning tasks.
• Notifies supervisor if changes in residents' health are observed.
• Responds to resident requests and concerns and informs supervisor promptly.
• Collaborates with others in a demanding environment and supports team members.
• Assists with special functions as directed.
• Shows respect for facility property and supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
