Job summary

College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach DMD127: Survey of Social Media within the Digital Media & Design Department. The role involves designing a simulated marketing campaign, developing instructional materials, and assessing student learning while ensuring alignment with the course syllabus and college policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Digital Media, Media Arts, Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Sociology (with a focus on digital culture or social behavior), or a related discipline.
• At least 9 credit hours in critical thinking courses related to media studies, social/cultural studies, humanities, philosophy, communications, or similar disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field (tested experience).

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in subject field.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Assess student learning and assign grades.
• Attend required Adjunct meetings in the Fall and Spring semesters.
• Maintain current knowledge of subject matter.
