College of Lake County is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Engineering to teach transfer level courses such as Introduction to Engineering, Mechanics of Materials, Circuit Analysis, and related subjects. Courses are offered primarily daytime at Grayslake, with campuses also in Waukegan and Vernon Hills, or online.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Engineering, teaching experience preferred, and bilingual ability in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in subject field.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Assess student learning and assign grades.
• Attend required Adjunct meetings in the Fall and Spring semesters.
• Participate in college governance and other aspects of academic life.
• Maintain current knowledge of subject matter.
• Be responsible for compliance training including Title IX and Clery Act requirements.
• Prepare and maintain curriculum, outlines and instructional materials.
• Deliver course content using varied teaching styles.
• Submit grades electronically by deadlines.
