Washtenaw Community College is seeking Part Time Digital Media Arts Instructors to teach courses in Graphic Design Technology, Photography, Video Production, Audio, and Animation. Opportunities may arise each semester and courses may be taught online.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• Master’s degree in Fine Arts or Photography for PHO.
• Associate in Arts or higher in Communications/Film/Video or Art; portfolio review required.
• Associate degree in Audio Technology; 5 years related experience required.
• Associate in Arts or higher in Game Design or Digital Animation; portfolio review required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to student learning.
• Prepare for and instruct assigned course(s) through appropriate learning experiences.
• Adhere to course syllabus and submit data for assessment reports.
• Evaluate student progress through exams and daily observations.
• Prepare and grade exams/assignments and return graded work timely.
• Support student success through guidance and advising.
• Participate in curriculum planning and program evaluation.
• Maintain professional knowledge including compliance training.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to support teaching and learning where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
