Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian in Parsons, KS to assess nutritional needs and support residents’ quality of life. You will work with the healthcare team to implement personalized nutrition plans and interventions in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes adherence to professional standards, ongoing education, and teamwork, with a flexible, on-site schedule at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (or related field).
• Master’s degree in Nutrition (or related field).
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others regarding nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies in dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
