Job summary

The State of Missouri's St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center is seeking a positive and energetic Dietitian to support clients with mental illness through focused nutrition care.

You will complete initial and annual nutrition assessments, follow up with patients regularly, provide tailored interventions, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning and rounds. You will also coordinate with Food Service for dietary needs and lead weekly nutrition groups.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Missouri licensure and CDR registration.
• Experience in mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and annual nutrition assessments of all assigned patients.
• Follow up with patients weekly, monthly, or quarterly depending on nutrition risk.
• Provide individualized interventions based on patients’ nutrition/health goals.
• Attend and participate in interdisciplinary care of patients including treatment planning and rounds.
• Communicate with Food Service staff - special dietary needs of assigned clients.
• Facilitate weekly nutrition-based groups with patients.
