Job summary

Evercare of Edwardsville is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents. You will ensure dietary needs are met and maintain a clean, safe kitchen while supporting a resident-centered environment and collaborating with dietary staff.

Responsibilities include cooking meals, following dietary guidelines, assisting in menu planning, and maintaining records. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate service to residents in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary or food service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Compassionate and resident-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Ensure meals meet dietary guidelines, restrictions, and resident preferences.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in menu planning and meal preparation activities.
• Work closely with dietary staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
• Maintain accurate records of food preparation and service.
• Assist with inventory management and food/supply ordering.
• Collaborate with other departments to support resident satisfaction.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
