Vivo Healthcare West Orange in Ocoee, Florida is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Cook / Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. This role provides safe, nutritious meals that support residents’ health and dignity.

The Dietary Cook / Aide assists with food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and kitchen operations while adhering to facility policies and safety standards. Flexible scheduling and opportunity to grow are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or long-term care preferred (not required).
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting.
• Must be able to pass background screening and health requirements per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals according to standardized recipes and therapeutic diet requirements
• Assist with tray line setup, meal service, and clean-up
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, and storage (FIFO)
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces
• Follow infection control, safety, and temperature monitoring guidelines
• Support resident satisfaction by being responsive and respectful during meal service
• Work collaboratively with dietary leadership and nursing staff
